My kids drink a smoothie almost every day, but I never really thought about using actual recipes until I saw a few interesting combinations on Pinterest. Since I'm often worried about how little protein my picky eater is getting, this recipe seemed like a great way to feed him some protein disguised as a treat. We all love this smoothie recipe, and it delivers about 13 grams of protein! The original recipe is too big for my Magic Bullet, but I keep all the almonds when cutting the original recipe down to fit.
1/2 apple, chopped
1/2 banana, chopped
1/4 milk
1/3 plain Greek yogurt (it's great with honey or vanilla too)
5 whole natural almonds
1/8 tsp cinnamon
2 ice cubes
Combine all ingredients in a blender until smooth. (This will fill a Single Shot Magic Bullet.)
