Remember when I posted about my first attempt with marshmallow fondant? Well, I've had fun with it on just about every occasion since. It's so fun, and forgiving! If it doesn't turn out the way you like, roll it up and try again. It's like playdough for bakers! Here's a sample of some of the ways I've used it.
These little cupcakes embellishments are made just by layering cut-outs from various sized cookie cutters.
These little stars were simple with a cookie cutter, and looked cute with coarse sugar sprinkled alongside.
The kids love working with fondant too! My four-year old made these mini-cupcake toppers by using a rubber stamp in the fondant, and then cutting it out with a biscuit cutter.
My boys love anything pirate-related, so when we had a pirate-themed birthday party, I made this character cake.
My little girl has had a love of owls ever since we gave her a stuffed owl last Christmas, so this was her 2nd birthday cake
If you have been scared to try working with fondant (or you've been buying the pre-packaged stuff), you should really try marshmallow fondant! I bet you'll be hooked, just like I am.
