I made caramel apples as the party favour for Elizabeth's fall-themed wedding shower. I found the original recipe here. This was my first time trying them, and though it was messy and not 100% successful, I will definitely make them again. I think they are the kind of thing that get easier with practice. Both the caramel and the chocolate have an ideal temperatures, which is impossible to maintain when you are making 30 apples!

...then wrapped in cellophane, which makes for a lovely disguise for some of the less pretty ones!
